Well it was a good run

Had a good run, until I got killed today, rammed by an Asp.
Had shields at full too.
The stats show only for the Lakon Type 6 I was flying but had an Eagle, Sidewinder, Hauler and Adder as well.

So, in according to the Ironman rules.. Cleared my save

Nearly survived a month and hoped to be ready for what ever drama was to be found in the Empire
Ah well

Kudos for being a true Ironman! Have some rep...

If I've understood it correctly you will still be able too manually eject in Ironman mode thus survive. Unless someone takes out your escape pod that is.

So you didn't really follow the rules then... ;):p

Wow, I applaud you sir. I've been playing since release day and survived until a sad surprise two days ago. The idea of resetting is way beyond my level of competence. I accidentally was rammed by a ship from behind and lost compression. He died and I lost most of my windshield from decompression. 5 minutes was enough time to get to a station and line up for emergency dock. I blew up going into the mail slot...

Hey, I finally decided to post on here! One more and I can change settings!

Wasn't in combat so the impact was quick unexpected and an insta-death, one thing imagining ejecting as the hull counter ticks down those single figures another to sudden just explode and be on the insurance screen.

Clearing your save every time your ship gets blown up is going to get old fast with the number of ways you could lose a ship.

Started at Official launch and hasn't so far.
It certainly makes visiting Anarchy systems, places where the Human Pirates are flocking to and Conflict Zones a quite different experience.
Consequence is a wonderful thing, it makes choices matter. Is it worth the risk become a real question when the risk has a grand effect.

Iron Doesn't die, it just gets melted down and reforged.
Back to Wyrd to earn some rep with the WPP

+1 to op, you deserve the rep

You, my man, are a rare specimen on this wide sea of mindless souls.

I wish you good luck on your new adventure :)

I just dont get the point. Right now even if you are carefull your ship can explode mid-air for no reason. Well... its up to you but You better be ready to spam that ''Clear save'' button.

But good job for trying hardcore mode into this already hardcore game. :)

My ship has ever exploded for no reason.

The point is it adds an entirely new dimension to the game as you cannot afford to make mistakes, at all. You pay attention to every detail and feel real fear when faced with danger. I wouldn't play any other way and really look forward to Ironman being implemented properly so choosing/trying to eject is a way to prevent the awful eventuality of death.

I would consider it if 80% of my deaths weren't to random idiot NPC's running into me.

I don't mind dying to players. I don't mind dying to NPC's that beat me.

I do mind dying to brainless computer kamikaze pilots.
