Hardware & Technical Well, shoot

I'm pretty sure my GPU died. It's been acting up for a while, the screen will go black, everything else running, but the GPU fans cycle up and down in a loop.

But it died for good last night. System fans just twitch when I try to start it.

Switched out my PSU with a spare. No change.

System will start if I unplug the auxillary GPU cables or take the card out entirely.

Any other ideas? I don't think switching cables will help.

Maybe some plans for sabotaging Bitcoin...

Damn that sucks, certainly sounds like your gfx card has taken a run into a star...may it Rest In Peace with the myriad of other blown cards out there..As you know cards are wildly expensive right now...check for reputable dealers for second hand stuff .

Good luck Cmdr hope you get it sorted soon

The oven method might work? Given how expensive GPUs are right now, buying a cheap, used oven for a one shot attempt at resurrecting the card might be a cheaper option than getting another card...
