Just left on my first long distance exploring trip and just 100LY out from the bubble I find my first undiscovered system of planets. At least 6 planets. So what do I do? I make the few jumps back to the bubble to seal the deal haha. Bounced home and checked it out and my name is now cemented somewhere in the galaxy. Also scored over 100k in credits and I only scanned a couple systems.

Now that I've popped my exploration cherry it is time to disappear from civilization for a while. Peace out.

Congratulations CMDR - it took me over 1000 LYs to find my first one ... Then again I was making a bee line to Sag A to begin with.

Fly safe CMDR. If you drink and fly, remember to not go over the limit... You may wake up to find your ship a few seconds away from the sun and your scoop is taking more sun rays than your ship can handle!

Have you you a plan in mind on where you are going to go?

I had to travel around 1500 Lys before I found undiscovered systems. I didn't mind though, I love traveling. I have to say it's such a good feeling to know that you've found something no one had ever found before. And knowing that whenever somebody goes there they'll see your name on those stars and planets.

Good luck to you OP.
Exploring can be a lot of fun, especially when you get far out enough to where no one has been before.
I'm about 5k ly out now and all systems I enter now are first discoveries.

Will do. I suck using the camera on here but I have all the time in the world to figure it out now.

Man I was flying and watching the warriors game the other day. Not paying attention while docking in a station I ended up crashing and blowing up my ship lol. That was 250k down the drain lol...

Agreed. I was super pumped up. Can't wait to see whats out there.

I've just decided to travel up the spiral arm until it curves around and meets Sag A. When done I will shoot straight back to the bubble. By then I should have enough creds to buy whatever vehicles I need when horizon is out.

200 LY in and I have discovered at least 30 planets. I may be going overboard wit the the scanning though since I am getting no where fast haha.

Found my first water world today. Also running into tons of systems where people explored the star but never bothered to check out the planets...

Thx. That pic I just posted was the first time I have ever taken a pic on ED or the XBOX for that matter. It was super easy actually since I was streaming it to my PC at the time. Just hit the print scrn and wa la...
