Well that was weird!!

Boosting of a planet toward Escape Vector and something whacked my DBX so hard it dropped my hull to 1%!
The sound it made was like when you hit a stars exclusion zone. I was way out of settlement gun range and not
in any trouble. No other ships anywhere either. Anyone else experience this? Scared the crap out of me.

I once hit an invisible asteroid leaving the base in the Orion Nebula but that's about it. Spun me so fast I went into the supercruise countdown and got stuck facing somewhere entirely different than I was supposed to go in the transition. Had to terminate Elite with the task manager.

No idea, is there any chance of it being someone with long range rails? I doubt it, but no harm in mentioning.
No Hat. Other ships was the first thing I checked. Only thing on radar was the settlement. This was in Solo too BTW.
Doubt there are any NPCs that could one shot smack me that hard.

It certainly is weird mate, and I agree regards NPCs one shotting anything!

I knew it!

Look for entry no. 154090.75.
Right! My hull was down 59% before my shields even knew what hit it!!
Smells eerily of a reverse inverted quantum physics dark antimatter attack to me.
The Thargoids have nothing to this. And even stranger is that I survived the whole ordeal!

Someone is trying to tell me something.

I once teleported half way inside a mountain, in the planet I was descending toward (just left orbit I was about to glide), then lose half my hp, and teleported immediately back to orbit. The whole thing took about 1-2s max, it was super fast.

It was my first passenger mission, and the passenger was a "no damage" kind of guy. Needless to say the guy was pretty mad at that.

Maybe it was something similar ?

Did you have strange dreams that night?

There was a bug once that sounds remarkably similar - an invisible boundary on leaving a planetary port...

I just had a look via GalMap search. My game only shows one hit, and it's an orbital outpost, not an advanced station like in your hud. I'm going to investigate this place now (one carrier jump away from my current location), as I'm curious now. Is your PTACK VISION also in HIP 16595?

The only halfway reasonable explanation I could offer off the top of my head is that this station is very close to an asteroid ring. While we've had (almost) invisible rings in Horizons, they seem to be more common in Odyssey, perhaps because of the generally darker environment. But the local map should show a ring, if present...
No, the system the anomaly occurred in was Zeta Fornacis, body A 2, leaving Gloss Gateway settlement. See my journal entry above.
The station on my HUD was Ptack Vision, an Orbis Starport in the same system. The second shield down event (154099) was me
deactivating the shields for illustration purposes for the screenshot. To better show what I experienced at the time of the anomaly.
I had to move fast as I was not sure of my modules health at the time. Hope this helps CMDR. Interested in your findings. o7
