Well, as you can see I have spent a lot of time on the "4th" one...... NOT
So how many kills in total does the combat rank need for elite? Speculation has it at like 9k but mine keeps being higher then what sites state the borders for each rank are. Also another silly question do we get cumulative elite discounts? Ie a Triple elite gets a 6% discount?
If that is the case id better get better at exploration.
P.S Gz on Double elite, i reckon they should change the icon colour, Bronze for 1 Elite, Silver for 2, Gold for all 3 Elite.

Part 1: Depends what rank your targets have. See the experience table here (among other places) http://elite-dangerous.wikia.com/wiki/Combat
So from Deadly to Elite takes about 1600 Elite kills. For me it was 2167 total (485 Elite, 1010 Deadly, 672 Dangerous).
If you only kill Expert or below you will never make Elite. They don't count to your rating.
Part 2. I haven't seen any benefits to being triple Elite
Benefits of elite, Founder's World access (10% discount on all ships all modules every thing is stock) Mission pay outs are higher, just look at the missions and you will see what I mean.
EDIT: Just saw the bit about "triple" elite, the above are for a single elite rating.

1)Ah i have a long road to join the elite club, i really don't know how people manage all 3.
2)Should be due to the time and effort put in.
Any tips to getting elite statue? Simple case of stick at it 1 rank at a time?

Play the game as you want and have fun. The ranks will come in time. The more you chase, the less you will enjoy the game. If its a grind, do it another way.
2,108 Bounties @ 27M, 6,971 Combat Bonds @ 189M for me, so that is squarely in your 9k speculation range.

You can get better missions popping up for being Elite in a certain category. Granted it's not specifically for being Elite in all 3, but there are certain missions which require an Elite rank at exploration, trade, or combat. Having all three gives you more options from that point of view.
