Welp, we just got ANOTHER big nerf to piracy... When will the least profitable profession get love?

Is the only reason you play the game to make credits? I thought you play to have fun. If you like piracy and it is fun why are you concerened about the credits? Yes you need credits for upkeep, but surely it can't be the primary reason you choose to do something. There's usually a non fun activity in these types of games which pays for the fun activities...combat would not be intense if there was no potential for loss because you had endless credits. Nor would it be fun if you could fly any ship straight off....

So you're saying the way to get players to have fun is to force players into unfun activities? Cos that's what it sounds like you're saying. Why can't FD make a game where fun activities are also rewarding? Seems win-win to me...
 
The ladder has been pulled behind the people who made millions early on, that is for sure!

This is the real problem. Kickstarter backers benefited from lots of earning opportunities that have now been withdrawn from the rest of us.
 
Its a nerf for rares, and a buff for general commodities, which was probably needed tbh as rares were superior in everything other than the quantity you were likely to see, only regular commodity thats close is imperial slaves, and finding where they are traded isn't easy. I think the 50% increased selling price for stolen makes up for it, just go take gold!
 
This is simply a necessary exploit fix.

Otherwise:

form a wing with 2 players. Buy rare goods, jettison, have buddy pick them up, redock, buy more rare goods, jettison, have buddy pick them up, rinse and repeat until your buddy docks with a full cargo hold of max value rare goods to sell, never having left the no fire zone.
 
People are less likely to pirate for rares now, but no worries, we have more and more RPK going on in the Lave sector to make up for that ;)
