Trying to roll for second ranked FSD and need praseodymium. The descrpition says it can only be mined. I never mined before so what and where do i mine for it?

If you need it for Felicity Farseer, I threw some miniing equipment on my Python, hopped over the asteroid belt in Deciat, and immediately refined about 24 tonnes of it!
Option one:- Mine the bronze coloured asteroids in a metal rich planet, dont bother with prospecting limpets, just pick a rock and laser it, you will need a mining laser, a refinery and ideally a collector limpet controller.
Option two:- Grab a cargo scanner, a cargo hatch limpet controller and go to a res zone
Option Three:- Appeal to the kind hearts of other cmdr,s and ask for a couple of tonnes in exchange for something.
Either way remember to stock up on limpets in RESTOCK.

I found quite a bit yesterday in HIP 18339 in the pristine metallic ring. The haz res site seemed to have more than the safe one.
You'll also find Painite, Platinum and all the other valuable metals in that ring. Sell price at the large station in that system is quite high too. Painite was $73k/t yesterday.
