Checking up on the expedition, guys :) How's it going? Where are y'all about these days? I have a project on the Western side, would start in about a month and a half, but very loose on the constraints. Maybe we can coincide or something.

Right now I'm in Puwaae VD-K d8-2 heading for the bubble and doing it the hard way not taking route 33 but following the rock rat route CMDR Greytest did. Plan is to come back here with the second expedition with a bunch of people on increased jump range ships. Because it is a nightmare to prospect alone.

I stopped looking for a crossing (I was very close to where Greytest crossed) and back at Beagle Point after hearing rumours of Jaques attempting a jump; just been exploring the local area and might head to the Treehouse which I still haven't visited. About to go on 2 week holiday, after that I'll definitely start heading home.

Undecided whether to just cross the Abyss and start my return journey in earnest, or try again to find a non-jumponium crossing further West than Podar.

Alright :) I plan on setting up an special expedition, the idea basically being to scan an entire sector and gather data. Extremely loose regarding dates and such, no WPs... but I'll write an OP about that soon.

Huh, I never did post about the end of my trip in this thread. I actually got back to the bubble a few days before 2.1 released. Made like 130 million credits, earned myself over a dozen system permits, and got first discover tags on over 50 ELW’s. It was a great trip overall! I’ve been grinding my way up to a level 5 FSD mod on my Asp for the past week, once I get it I’m heading back out into deep space. Haven’t decided which direction I’ll be going yet…

I too, made it back safely.... all told it was worth a little over 210 Mcr.
If anyone needs escort or decoys as you are coming in... let us know ahead of time so we can help get you in safe and started on the "Engineering learning curve" ;)

A Binary planet system in front of the Nebula.

Arrived at the Phreia Flyou Nebula, -14493,-436,23946. Going to move through some of the nebula here and then decide to visit Jacques or not.

Is anyone still actually on this expedition? I'm still out in Maserfield's Ocean (it's been a slow march since Beagle Point in April) and am slowly making my way west (very slowly). I can keep the torch going but if anyone else is still out in the Scutum-Sagitarrius arm I wouldn't be opposed to a meet.

I had to cancel. By the time I got around to leaving the Abyss I decided I was better iff just heading straight for the bubble for some r&r.

One day I'll make it to the west. One day.. :)
