Westward Ho! 32,118 ly due west of Earth in a Sidewinder

Greetings commanders,

Quick 'fly by' post from Cmdr Over - The earthbound representative of Cmdr Halo Jones.

Jones has found an as yet undiscovered system 31183ly due west of Earth. Galactic Co Ordinates :
-31182.90625 / -93.09375 / -0.15625

This is nearly 500 ly further due west of Westpoint Ormond but still close to zero on the galactic meridian

Cmdr Jones has reached it in her trusty Sidewinder, "The Black".

It is a binary system with a second star with 7 landable planets in orbit around it, and is further from Sagittarius A than Beagle Point.

Invoking the true spirit of exploration, Only one of the second star's planets has been surface scanned by Jones. Anyone else arriving in system : please feel free to choose one of the other landables to scan and land on.

Would be nice to use this western point as a sign post for Andromeda for the first 6 other commanders who reach it - and make it back : so please limit yourself to a single scan each ?

Signing off ...

Ahh exploration in a Sidey, with a Basic Scanner and straining your eyes for the moving points of light.

You did take an Advanced scanner right???!!!

I've a mate who found a place to stash them round the back of the sidey's avionics hub. It's a tight fit but it works if you wedge it in with ductape and have a surface scanner to hold it in place next to the starboard bulkhead.

He even managed to find space for an SRV
