What a godawful fiasco

I have spent the last 2 hours trying to find an answer for the most basic question possible...How to increase the deadzone on an xbox one controller setup., then how to reset the controller to default settings. I have been entirely unsuccessful...though I should say that I am a longtime PC gamer and this is the first Xbox game I have tried to play.

Then began the "try to reset the password" adventure on the account I have had since the original release of this game so I can ask a simple question or locate a how to on initial setup. So to make a long story short, I bought the game on PC AND Xbox-I have been a supporter of this franchise since the original release in the 80's. The xbox version is unplayable and I dont want to reinstall and reconfig the controllers on PC (as I recall it was a time c onsuming and frustrating process.

At the top of the controller bindings in settings, you'll find 'presets'. Choose classic or default and you're good to go.

You can also set up a custom controller profile using the xbox accessories app. Adjusting the ingame setting will probably do what your asking for just as well but sometimes I've found customizing your controller itself gives it a little dit different feel for better or worse.
