What a great morning!

So I get this isn't really that impressive but I'm like a kid at Christmas and I love it....
Today I got my first new ship...ViperMk4, got a docking computer, which is awesome, and made my first Million credits!
Anyone else ticking off little milestones like this?
Next stop 10mil and a Cobra!

This is the only way that I play Elite, with small milestone pointing me to my next intended target. I generally have a few overarching targets such as getting to a certain rep, getting a specific ship, and so forth but these I'm not rushing to get to. What I prefer doing these days is to set a target each time I log on and see if I can reach it, then if I do set another one. For instance, this weekend was a whole lot of Community Goal contributions.

Well! I started off slowly, picking up a few courier, haulage and passenger missions. Soon bought my Cobra and outfitted it reasonably well for a bit of exploring. THEN, stumbled across the Ram Tah Ancient Ruins mission (from Meene, Felice Dock) and the BRILLIANT guide by Dognosh on how to complete it. Now I am sitting on over 200 million and, after splashing the cash, a shiny new Python! I don't want to sound smug, I just can't believe I managed to get myself a beloved Python so soon. Be warned, though, you will need a small / medium ship with a good jump range (20+ at least), a decent fuel scoop, an SRV (with materials to synthesise fuel), at least 12t cargo space, an Advanced Discovery Scanner and a lot of patience, as you have to scan 101 different obelisks at multiple different locations to get the extra 100mill bonus. Took me a good couple of days, playing decent sessions to complete it, but it feels great now that I have.

Any questions, check the guide or contact me.

Fly safe, CMDRs.

I was elated when I finally sold my sidey and got in the Viper III. We had no mk IV's in the day.
The Viper series are great looking ships and fine combat ships. Much later I bought a MK IV and intend to keep it in my collection.

I would recommend replacing the docking computer with something useful by the way... like chaff, a shield booster or a bounty scanner.
Also... you are depriving yourself of becoming proficient at docking, which I personally think is one of the fun things of flying the ships.
It is your call of course.

Docking computer is an optional internal mod... chaff, SB, and KWS are utility mods.
