What about a water ride expansoin DLC?

Hey there community.

I am at the point where the game is brilliant, except for the water rides that i found rather disappointing.

What i really miss is a good working flume or river rapids that act like one in the real world.

Currently the boats are not splashing when they hit the water after they take some speed on both of these items which literally makes no sense!

What we should consider implement in these are the following options, some of them are already in-game, but some of them are even affecting the game-play and can also be a good game-changer.

FLUMES:

Point 1: The drop angle should be adjustable and now the angle that the track hits a splash zone is so unreal that in real life people would actually die if you make the drops too big. What i think is necessary is that we should be able to make a drop angle and attach a splash zone to the selected angle. Hereby we get rid of the pre-set entrance angle of the splash zone. This would be a huge improvement. Also the lifthills and flume track could get a little update as well. I have the feeling the flume track is a bit too small. Especially cause the newest flumes you can sit with 2 people next to each other in rows of 6-8. A good example to look like for a flumeride to be copied in this DLC or a rework would be the following:

You can clearly see that the entrance of both splash zones have different angles and the steepness of the drops are also different. De big drop is less steep then the small one. And that is what i currently miss in the logflume model.
For the 6 seater flume i will recommend for the DEV team to take a look at this:

All of these are LOFGLUMES! Please let us take some variety in which one we should use. And make them all with customizable drop and splashdown angles.

RAPIDS:

Well everything that can go wrong with this, is wrong with the version we have in the game now.

Critic point is also the splash entrance is not customizable.

Second critic point is the following:

A river rapids works with 3 things:

- Pumps
- A wave machine
- Wooden logs in the CONCRETE basin.

The last 2 are critical cause they are used in almost every rapid ride availible (Wooden logs are not used in the Rapid slides, mostly found on traveling models.)

The wave machine can create waves which makes it unpredictable for guests how to get wet.

The logs, are placed after a drop so that they CREATE a wave.

If, the DEVELOPERS of planet coaster can mage to write it so, that we can actually EDIT A WOODEN LOG into the BASIN of the RAPID ride, we can create a actual river rapid that creates the waves so common for what the ride is all about!

The current version of the Rapids is just a round boat ride with splashdowns.

Then the MACK WATERCOASTER RIDE:

It only needs adjustable angles to make sections like this:

As you see, the track conversion from the coaster rail to the splash zone happens on a STRAIGHT PIECE IN THE WATER.
Might be a idea to do that as well and get rid of the pre-selected angles!

And for Darkride, INTAMIN Tow boat ride, using a custom layed out water basin with the terrain tool. In the water this system uses the same technique as a Chairlift. When the boat needs to make a turn, they insert a wheel in the water so the boat can make a turn. but since the rooms are mostly square and every room is full of water with some scenery skins on it, it looks like the boat has a free will instead of a guiding track.

I think this are my best suggestions, above with some scenery pieces of Atlantis, and some other water themes that i ask the community to think about.
Also adding some exotic cocktail shops and a new shopbrand to the DLC with fitting the water theme would do. Also i's like to add a Souvenirshop to the line up of planet coaster, which we can sell shirts/sunglasses/objects like puppets of the planet coaster characters etc. etc.

Let me think if this is a brilliant idea, or that i am too hard on the Dev team right now asking all of this. But i think this would be a huge game changer. For the rapids it will sure be, cause the placement of the logs can make or break the excitement of the rapid. So, by means a player has to really place the logs in the right place in the game to make the rapid attractive even without scenery.

I hope some of you will agree with my suggestion.

While I'm not into a rush for this, I do agree, especially concerning the white water rapids. That is one of my favorite rides, and I woukd like for PC to improve on it, along with the log flume.
 
Good list... I think water rides are just as important to me as coasters.

I'd just add the 2-across log flume:

I think the top boat design would be best... it's the most generic and adaptable.
