I run into this on the Elite Dangerous Community Facebook page ---> https://www.facebook.com/groups/elitedangerouscommunity/ And I did a search here to see if this topic has been covered before. So I decided to post and see what comes up. If I missed the post in my search, please link me to it ....

I am going on 70 years old this coming September and was not fortunate enough to play any previous version of Elite. But at 69 I am enjoying ED very much. The learning curve is a challenge and I've asked numerous question almost to distraction. But in spite of errors and a bit of frustration ever now and then, I continue my journey through it. I first got introduced to Space exploration in FREELANCER in which I posted many long hours. Enjoying every minute of it.

Due to the number of old fogies playing this game; this subject has been mulled over a few times. I can't find any links myself, but give it time and someone will find a few.

Now the two main consoles are up and running, the percentage of older player will go down, but I think it stands at about 30 to 40% over 30.

In dog years? About 55, but yet to reach middle aged.

Last time I answered this question on an ED thread I was 51. Now Im 53. 54 in September :)

Let's go with age 66. I did well being retired and everything is paid for including the house and the cars. I'm widowed but the next woman in my life has to understand two issues. (1) My three dogs sleep wherever they want on the bed. (2) I play Elite Dangerous but if my gal can play it better than me then she can decide where the dogs (or more likely me) will sleep! :)
