so utterly confused...
I just bought this for my Dad (who is an avid elite fan) and myself.
So far I have played for about 5 hours and have no idea what the hell is going on.
I've done a simple trade mission (pick it up drop it off (pretty boring)) tried to do a hunt a pirate mission but turned up to both the star systems I was supposed to (which took an age as they were so far apart I had to refuel) pottered about exploring bits some ships turned up and told me I had no cargo and buggered off, no sign of the intended target.
sometimes get denied access to some docks
dont seem to be in full control when i use the fsd it seems to lock the speed im going to approximately the blue area, but what happens if i dont want that?
I have no idea what im supposed to be doing or how im supposed to make a reasnable amount of money in an interesting way (not driving from one end of the galaxy to the other).
Am I missing something here? In essence I like the game. I like pottering around docking, I like the combat exercises I just have no idea how to initiate anything.
any kind of noob friendly guide would be great or some pointers as currently im running out of time in my day as mcuh as i want to like this game I just cant waste time flying to and from random parts of the galaxy.
