So this won’t be about your dream packs, or necessarily how you want the rest of 2024 to go. This is about what remaining animals do you really need in Planet Zoo? I wanted this to be a fun and open discussion, separate from our bucket list species or wishlist packs. These may not be animals you really like.
Also for sake of discussion let’s leave flying birds out of this. I know how much we all want them and I do too, but there is no sense bringing up something that hasn’t happened yet. Now if Frontier changes their minds we can absolutely talk about it.
I’ll go first!

I’ll go first!
- I think petting zoos aren’t 100% represented well in game. So a Nigerian dwarf goat is one of the most important animals for me to get right now. Combined with the llama I can make a pretty good farm/ kids area so I’ll be content.
- With waterfowl floodgates now being open Frontier has no excuse now. I need a duck species, any one will do. While I would prefer the mandarin or mallard, at this point I will take what I can get. Also I would love the black swan, Oceania gets another bird because why not?
- For its beautiful coloration, and how common it is in zoos I really need the American Flamingo. Even the emoji is based on the brilliant pink hue of the species. For the sake of diversity I would love the pretty in pink Barbie birds.
- I think North and South America need a bird species very badly, so I think it would be good to hit two continents with one bird. I will shill the burrowing owl until the sun explodes. Combined that with a scarlet ibis or roseate spoonbill and we could get some much needed bird rep into these regions.
- For the last birds I need (I will always want more) are two pheasant clones, and they are the golden pheasant and western capercaillie. They would fill out Europe and Asia more and I could get two more temperate/ cold weather birds for my zoos. Sounds like a win-win for me.
- Monkeys are important, but there is only one I really need. The golden lion tamarin is one of the most important Zoo conservation stories ever, I cannot stress how much I need them.
- For ungulates I really need the reeves muntjac and peere David’s deer. The commonality of one and conservation story of the other are too important for me to pass up.
- For reptiles I only need a couple more: an African crocodile species, the Indian cobra, green anaconda, and a chameleon species. I’m flexible with anything else.
