What animals should be included in Rainforest Animal pack?

What animal species in your opinion should be included in Rainforest Animal pack (7) or Rainforest regular DLC (4)?
I have chosen as diverse as I could.

Rainforest Animal pack (7)
Capybara
Gibbon
Tree kangaroo
Red River hog
Leopard
Coati
Fossa

Rainforest regular DLC (4)
Capybara
Gibbon
Tree kangaroo
Red River hog

Not sure if they live in regular rainforest but I belive that Tasmania has temperate rainforests.

It was ether Fossa or Tasmanian devil and Fossa won :)

please do create your list...

Its 100% regular dlc (4) format since there is no SEA pack theme. I think frontier prefer to put time consuming animals to make in regular packs (meerkats in africa pack) because they can focus only on hard to make one animal rather than extra 3. This is perfect ocasion for gibbons. I would like to point out there can be also hidden animal pack which couldnt be leaked because of no theme.

Predictions:
1. Capybara
2. Gibbon
3. Tree kangaroo
4. random species from amazon or africa
5. random exhibit animal

Well, since it is just rainforest, not tropical rainforest, I'm going to mix tropical and temperate rainforests:

1) Tasmanian devil
2) Amur leopard
3) Capybara
4) Black-handed spider monkey

If it's 7, then add:

5) Sloth
6) Raccoon or beaver
7) Fossa

Since there's a building theme, I fully expect 4 animals. I think my personal dream pack would be:

1. Matschie's tree kangaroo
2. Red river hog
3. Capybara
4. Three-toed sloth

For me, I don't think that lineup could possibly be beat. It covers 3 continents and if we got an Asian exhibit animal that would be a fourth... not that I personally care about continent representation compared to just having good animals. Having three more small-ish mammals would be a dream.

Fossa, ocelot, and name-your-primate are also great picks, but the only one of mine I'd really be willing to budge on is the sloth. I'd be devastated if we somehow miss out on the capybara a second time, but honestly the tree kangaroo and red river hog have both also gotten passed over once already (assuming the African pack is truly just the 4, which I believe it is) as well, and I think it would be great if this could be a redemption pack for all of them.

I really want a leopard more than just about anything before everything is said and done, but I just don't think of them as rainforest animals primarily. If this pack is their ticket in, then so be it, but I just don't think now is their time.

Technically, a tree kangaroo has been missed twice - first in the Australia Pack, and then in the Southeast Asia Animal Pack (which even had a soundtrack named after the highlands of the Huon Peninsula, home of the Matchie's Tree Kangaroo) - they're definitely the animal I'm wishing the most to be in a Rainforest Pack.

With that in mind, this is my list:
1. Matchie's/Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo
2. Fossa
3. Capybara
4. South American Coati
5. A chameleon (if not in the Africa Pack) or a gecko [exhibit]

Tasmanian Devil is my 1# greatest want for the game, however I don't consider their inclusion in such a pack likely. Not only is Tasmania temperate, and I would not be surprised if such a pack focused entirely on the tropics, but they are so adaptable that they occur in every terrestrial habitat on the island from the rainforests to the harsh alpine regions. They're actually most common in drier forests, woodlands and heathlands, while rainforests only support lower densities of devils (there's less prey). The Fossa is somewhat similar in that it occurs in all of Madagascar's forest types, but at the very least they're most abundant in rainforests. Needless to say however, if the devil does manage to appear in this pack I'll be the opposite of complaining - please prove me wrong, Frontier!

What I really want:
1: Capybara (biggest rodent)
2: Victoria Crowned Pigeon (beautiful unique ground pigeon)
3: Red River Hog (beautiful never-dirty pig)
4: Fossa (biggest Madagaskar predator)
5: Sifaka (those jumps!)
6: Indian Giant Squirrel (a squirrel the size of a monkey)
7: Tree Kangaroo (kangaroo's living in trees are awesome)
8: Panther Chameleon (this game really needs this color-shifter)
9: Mantis (Flower)

Some honorable mentions: Colombus Monkey / Muntjac / Sloth

What we probably get
1: Tree-Flying Crocodile
2: Jungle Penguin
3: Leopard
4: Gibbon
5: Another Spider

A Rainforest animal pack, hopefully. What kind of new theme would we get in a 4+1 DLC that we don't already have? We already have tropical and bamboo stuff and jungle ruins... So I'm hoping for a 7+1 pack.

1. Capybara.
2. Sloth.
3. Tree kangaroo.
4. Siamang or gibbon.
5. Red river hog.
6. Fossa.
7. Tasmanian devil.
8. Any exhibit animal is fine (hardly use them).

This is a pack I would definitely buy. I can see myself using all of them, minus the mandatory exhibit animal. We'd finally get a tree kangaroo, devil, capybara, and sloth, that were left out of their respective DLCs (SA, AUS). The red river hog is also a very wanted animal among the fanbase. The siamang or gibbon are staples of many zoos. The Fossa provides a rare and niche animal from Madagascar.

In short: this would be a high profile pack that is likely to do really well.

Just a heads up since no one here has mentioned it, it seem that the "Rainforest" file theme has been in the game for a long time, possibly since launch. So I'm not confident we'll see a rainforest pack. Which, if I'm honest, I'm glad, because it would be a 4 + 1 pack, which I think would be a weird move. It'd be better to be a 7 + 1 pack.

Red River Hog, Capybara, Sloth, Ocelot, Maned Wolf, Amur Leopard, Gibbon all come to mind. for a seven pack.

Though if it's just forests as well as rain forests I'd go with: Asian Small Clawed Otter, Wombat, Tasmanian Devil, Red River Hog, Amur Leopard, Capybara, Ocelot/Maned Wolf (I can't decide!

four pack in those two options is a lot tougher:Capybara (is the must have animal), Amur Leopard, Red River Hog, Ocelot

or four pack for forest/jungle: Capybara, Amur Leopard, Red River Hog and either Tasmanian Devil or Wombat ....or otter. or....or......this one's a tough for me. This just needs to be a 7+1 pack if all types of forests.

Similarly to previous replies, I would be most excited to see these four animals in a rainforest-related DLC pack:

1. Capybara
2. Tree Kangaroo
3. Gibbon
4. Fossa

  • The capybara is a must-have animal for the game that has been requested over and over again by the entire community ever since its omission from the South American pack, and would be an amazing addition to any SA zoo section (particularly in shared habitats with the anteaters and tapirs).
  • Any species of tree kangaroo would be welcome, but I suppose Matschie's Tree Kangaroo could be considered most iconic.
  • I included the gibbon only assuming its inclusion would be feasible in-game. Many people predicted it for the SEA pack, but it seems likely that the developers were either faced with technical difficulties so far or have decided to hold out with those animals that would likely require game-changing mechanics. In a four-animal DLC, this could be accompanied by a free update introducting brachiation and improving existing climbing animations.
  • Finally, every DLC so far has included at least one carnivore, and with so many outstanding options still waiting for inclusion in the game, the highly-requested fossa would be another splendid addition. Ocelot or another leopard could work well too, but their uniqueness and ecological niche (we would finally have another animal from Madagascar) seems to make the fossa a very attractive animal.

If it turns out to be an animal pack after all, I'd also hope for a coati, a red river hog and a sloth, although I don't know how feasible sloths would be in-game considering their unique animation requirements.

(Although I have to say, I'd actually be surprised to see another rainforest-themed pack before a North American or Europe DLC. Considering how many iconic animals from NA and Europe are still missing from the game, that would seem like a perfect fit for autumn.)
