Zoo Tycoon What animals should debut in game for the franchise

Regardless of game roster numbers: there are many animals that fans have always wanted to have, or perhaps only a few, who have never appeared in game. Who should appear in the game to debut: the American Alligator, the Yak, the Wombat....

Truthfully, I hope the Cassowary, Gharial, and Squirrel Monkey make an appearance. Regarding certain DLC themes...

For Marine animals, I'd like to see Minke Whales, Loggerhead Turtles, and Silvertip Shark.

For Prehistoric animals:

Amargasaurus-A small Sauropod (around 30-35 feet long) with two rows of spikes running down its neck. It's pretty much the last thing people would see in a dinosaur, and it helps with issues with sauropod species.

Kaprosuchus-This is something me and my friends are serious fans of. This 20-foot semi-terrestrial (?) crocodile lived during the mid-Cretaceous, around 95 million years ago, in Northwest Africa. Its name means "Boar Crocodile," for its teeth, which were like the tusks of wild boars. Also equipped with an armored snout, it's safe to say Boar-Croc ATE dinosaurs, like so.

Yutyrannus-This dinosaur's relatively new. An earlier relative to T. rex, Yutyrannus was the largest feathered dinosaur (and largest feathered animal if I may add) known. How big? The size of an Allosaurus. I figured since ZT has a history of trying to keep with modern science, it'd make sense to add this guy.

Entelodont-They may have looked and acted like pigs, but their closest living relatives are whales and hippos. These omnivores ranged anywhere between a large pig to an ox in size, and they're also terrifying as predators, possibly chasing down their prey, knocking it to the ground, and subduing it by using its vicious canine teeth to crush its victim's skull. There's a reason these things were called "Hell Pigs."

There's more where that came from too.

I wouldn't mind some deer species, with 101+ animals on the One, it is likely that at least some deer will be there due to the Zoo Tycoon vetern character, the Moose. Everything else is under a category (Bears, Giraffes, Elephants), so a deer group is likely.

A Serval would be neat.

Animal debuts

I would love a cassowary!

Next how about wombats? Tasmanian devils? three toed sloth? Echidnas?

For marine dlc how about duck billed platypus?

Why are most of the animals I list here from Australasia

And finally I really like this one Japanese macaque.... they could have a unique enrichment structure known as a hot spring.

What you think?

Also never been a fan of the dino dlc. Simply because there are so many unique and exotic animals in this world (as demonstrated on these posts) why we need dinosaurs I dont it.

The most dangerous animal known to man... the honey badger.

Mr. Atack would be perfect for this, but he's currently working on Elite: Dangerous, and we'd be grateful if he isn't distracted.

Have Komodo Dragons featured before? I'd love to set one of those loose.

Yes, in both games. Though in ZT1 they were apart of DLC that was included in Complete Collection.

Oh, and Capybaras. Me's a wanna some Capybaras.

I have been giving this some more thought....and the additional animals to make their debut should be...

Aardvark - Why? Smallish creature suited to a wee small enclosure that is unique in design and would be a 2 star attraction

Armadillo - Why ? Once again small creature able to be exhibited in a small enclosure. Unique design and I think being a mammal with armor deserves some respect. Because of this unique animal feature and defense skill armadillo would be a 3 star attraction

Giant Ant eater- Why? medium sized enclosure required but I think it would be great to have right beside a tapir exhibit and panther/jaguar exhibit. Really showing the diversity of the Southern Americas. It is also once again unique in its look easily identifiable. This would be a 3.5 star attraction.

Emu- Why? As previously mentioned in this thread Australian animals need more representation. We want wombats, duck billed platypus and Tasmanian devils. So lets complete the package. EMU done. 2.5 star attraction. (However if I had to choose cassowary versus emu. I would pick the cassowary)

Once there's pandas in there I don't mind too much :p

Honestly though? Sloths and other smaller animals. The animals that are usually in darker indoor exhibits in real zoos. Lizards, small turtles, bats etc.

Birds too. Aviaries would be pretty awesome to have.
