What are CN and MS star classes?

The short answer is: g Huge

The longer answer is: CN = Carbon Star, MS = M class star reaching the end of its hydrogen burning phase and expanding to become a Red Giant. (I think that's about right)

But - flipping Huge and worth visiting.

The first time you fly into a system with one of those giants in is... memorable. The thing just looms hugely in your view, it's quite something to see! (CN are not scoopable by the way)

Found another interesting star type, HERBIG AE/BE Star are they proto-stars?

In ED the cutoff between T-Tauri and He Ae/Be is at about 3 solar masses - below that a protostar will be TT, above He.

The Ae/Be bit refers to the spectrum - like ordinary A or B stars. (The "e" means there are emission lines in the spectrum.)

and if you haven't visited yet, you really must. The first time you see one is pretty awe inspiring, they are spinning like a loon in real time and it's quite something.

Hmm I've only found one such system and I don't remember noticing the spin. However, I was a total noob in all exploration things and completely blind. I'm proud to say I'm less blind, but have remained a total noob... I think that won't be changing any time soon... :D

Need to be on the look for Herbig stars. Want to see that loon spinning. :D

There's a cluster of Herbig AE/BE stars near the Omega Nebula. Search for PW2010 on the gal map. Lots of bright blue stars there and some black holes too if I remember correctly, but there are lots of Herbigs there if you want a fairly easy to reach area to go and look at some. They are worth a close look, as has been said, they are spinning like crazy!

Thank you so much for the information, much appreciated. :)
