The heat mod engineering being completely broken. Toasting ships entirely, and even crazier was the fdev didn't fix it for months lol.
But the craziest player driven stuff I saw was the Hutton orbital CG blockades. Those were awesome.

There is a hand placed (I assume) cluster of stars that look EXACTLY like a duck dipping it's beak into the ocean of stars. You can see it clearly if you ever go out to the heart and soul nebulae.

I've seen SRVs clipping through terrain off the kneecap of Pomache 5A. I've watched subsuface missiles bounce ineffectively off rocks in asteroid belts. All these moments will be lost in time, like JPGs sold to Star Citizen backers.
Attacking a ground base in my SRV when another player in a Cutter comes wandering over to see what's happening. Flashes all around me as the base lasers all start up at once. Then seconds later the huge burned out Cutter hull smashes into the ground just inches in front of my SRV. Flinched so hard I almost fell backwards out of my chair.
One of my Squadron mates had one of those last week!Wanted wedding barges. Its been a while I've seen one, I'm afraid they fixed that

Also: there was a short lived bug (between legacy weapons and new engineering) where Cytos fired straight. My goodness they were good- I had 4 on an FDL and it was excellent.
Time to sleep.
Landed at a Guardian site to get module blueprints and my entire DBX clipped through the surface and landed inside the planet.
Naturally, I did what any sane and right thinking CMDR would do.
I deployed my SRV.
It immediately started falling into the void and I was able to look straight up and see my DBX grow smaller and smaller against the flat grey underside of the planets surface before the whole game crashed.
