What are some of the craziest things you've seen in elite dangerous?

Shortly after Horizons dropped I managed to deploy my SRV in orbit. Spent a few frantic minutes trying to 'fly' back to my AspX but gave up in the end and waited 20 minutes or so to fall planetside for science. Passed through the surface and kept falling, I should have left it fall to see if I'd pass through the other side or settle in the centre of the planet but got bored and relogged to find it had all been a terrible dream and I was back in the ship with SRV

To me, it is design decisions, proposals and implementations, like:
  • a coop mode (Wings) with no coop related content
  • a coop mode (Multicrew) with no coop related content
  • the two coop modes being mutually exclusive to one another
  • the in-game explanation how Multicrew works
  • instant ship transfer
  • an overly complex Engineering system, that ruined the game balance on an immense scale
  • a Squadron system with no related content besides some statistics
  • an update, that adds Exploration CGs and also breaks scanning at the same time
  • an update called "Guardians", but the related content is not working, because it is clearly unfinished and broken
  • one of the most fun and exciting mission types (long range smuggling) got removed

Feeling salty today? Trade the seawater for kool aid.

I'm sure I've mentioned it before, the time I found an Imperial Navy Asp Scout stuck upside down on a planet. I don't know how it happened but he seemed to have a couple of "friends" lurking guiltily nearby. The ungrateful muppet flew off with out a word of thanks after I righted him. Typical Imperials.

It was likely an act of self preservation. Any Imperial caught flying an Asp Scout is probably facing the death penalty back on Achenar.

Do you remember when the NPC in the resource extraction sites used to crash into the rocks and lose their shields before you attacked and how they used to do that death spin half way through the fight? One time, a police Eagle got stuck against a rock. he was trapped for about ten minutes, so I went over and nudged him off. He didn't even say thanks, miserable so and so.

In the early days seeing T9's stuck sideways in the toaster rack rattling around until they blew up.

Driving on icy planets where the collision mesh didn't match the visible mesh so you end up driving 10 feet off the ground or diving under it.

Falling through the surface completely in an apparent free fall to the center.

Once when I was leaving caught a glimpse of a Commander wedged into a corner of a station .. Just sitting there.

Saw a planetary system with the orbital paths of its satellites looking like a diagram of an atom.

A one off glitch where I was ejected sideways out of a station while docked.

The easiest thargoid kill I've ever made was after being hyperdicted by a cyclops I decided to fight. He deployed his swarm and I killed them but noticed he wasn't moving. Apparently one of the thargons had become glitched against the interceptor and neither could move. Easy kill and took some great screenshot.

I also got some video of the Orthrus Interceptor being chased by scouts.
