PvP What are some open-to-the-public PvP groups, that will help me develop some PvP mastery?

I've engineered plenty of PvP-capable ships, but my PvP skill is so-so. What are some active open-to-the-public PvP groups, that will help me get some mastery?

This is not a PvP group but I can give you PvP lessons and depending on how everything goes, possibly get you into one of the more serious PvP squadrons if your interested.

Join my discord and let me know when you have some time to do some lessons.

I have pretty good success just hanging out and getting interdicted or starting fights with wanted or hostile faction ships. Most of the cmdrs I've met are happy to give pointers on how they kicked my a**. Sometimes the price is a rebuy, sometimes not but I usually learn something afterward win lose or draw.

Go to San Tu (or Carcosa if you're in Colonia)

In San Tu is the PvP hub, they have a discord, but I'm not in that one.
If in Colonia, get in touch with me.

I've spent two days in Colonia so far, and already got attacked near a station 2 times. I guess you don't look for pvp here, pvp looks for you..

@Branithar if you like a enjoyable pvp community where is a zero tolerance limit for flame talk, provocation, aggressive behavior, salt mining or any other behavior that makes members of this community not feel comfortable check out the global law enforcer (we are about 100 PvP Players in all timezones).

we also have our own pvp hub together with some other communities which share the same ethics related to community life.

we offer: - Education - Events - Wing fights in and outside asteroid fields - Sparrings - Duels - Support in shipbuilding and use the configuration of the ships - Training in escape procedures in case of Attacks - Organic PvP Operations (Small, Wing and coordinated Fleet) - Role play PvP

Our veterans are also PvP instructors in the Galactic Academy

I second Danques' recommendation for the Galactic Combat Initiative as the best place for beginners to go for pointers, advice and to get some early pick up fights. Some of the people giving advice there are the most experienced and skilled active in the game atm and will generally catch and call out inaccurate or bad advice without sugar coating. It's not a gated community so there's no pretences. It's the best community to go to if you're looking to really progress your skills. https://discord.gg/2khfM24

Depending on what type of fights you're looking for, the best places to hang out currently are Shinrarta Dezhra and Deciat for organic fights around the bubble. High footfall systems attract people looking for PvP as well as gankers. Don't assume everyone will be looking for a balanced fight and always have an escape plan and be prepared to eat a rebuy. San Tu is the home of the PvP Hub which is very much tailored for wing fights around rocks. These have the potential to be the highest challenge combat you can get in the game but can be a bit intimidating if you're still getting the basics down. https://discord.gg/MYZyqqe

We also have a couple of articles up on EDT for basic info on expectations when getting started in PvP.

Learn from the best and the best are in GCI. Everything else is just a waste of time on your way to git gud. Until now I never met a PvPer who wasn't giving me pointers on getting better or change my outfitting. One of the best communities in the game.

And if you want an easy target to just let loose and save on rebuys come to Colonia. Lots of them around there now-a-days, including me.
