What are stages leading up to elite rank in each discipline??

IMO, the combat ranking is confusing because they're mixing adjectives with nouns. If you're a master or expert you are already considered to be dangerous and deadly in your craft.
The rankings should be:
Harmless
Mostly Harmless
Novice
Competent
Dangerous
Deadly
Expert
Master
Elite

Adjectives and Nouns?
I never managed to retain the meanings of the English category words. They kept slipping from memory.
And more importantly, who cares? The current descriptions sound cool.
