What are the actual activities associated with each ethos?

Can anyone explain to me what "Social" and "Finance" and "Combat" actually mean in terms of what we will be doing for those activities? It doesn't seem to be explained anywhere. Like, is Social courier missions? Is Combat piracy or outright killing? It's hard to make a choice about who to sign up for when I don't actually know what I'll be doing.

I'm wondering this as well. I assume combat is self explanatory but really wondering about Social and Covert.

The only tab that actually gives an idea of what you'll be doing is the Expansion tab. I'm surprised it's missing from Control and Preparation or am I misunderstanding this?

I'm sort of confused where to even do combat for Hudson even though all three of his "ethos" things say combat.

When you're pledged to a particular Power, go into a rival Power's PP screen, select control tab, and clicking on the list of control systems on the left will show on the right the kind of undermine actions to take. If it were your own Power's screen, you'd see the activities to do for fortification.
