Hi everyone,
I'm thinking to start a "Commander's Log*" fan fiction type story.
Basically a mix of fiction influenced by whatever happens to me in-game, posted to a dedicated WP site. Until I actually OWN the game, though, (all I have now's the combat demo, as am a bit off put by the Horizons deal, and not sure my laptop's fast enough to run the full game, need to buy a HOTAS, etc.), this might not involve flying so much as setting up for the moment before my main character gets in the pilot's chair, and, to do that properly, I would need to know more about the world of Elite.
HOLY RUN-ON SENTENCE BATMAN. That's what happens if you stay up all night.
Mmm. Also, I'm supposed to be ghostwriting somebody's novel right now or I won't eat this month.

Can someone please link me up to good materials about the fictional world's universe, factions, conflicts, major characters, etc.?
And if someone read any of the Kickstarted novels, can you recommend any (that you've read)?

*It's not actually going to be called "Commander's Log," of course, as there's already a (discontinued?) Elite: Dangerous fan comic with that domain name, "Mercenary Commander" by David Hall.
