What Are the Best Way to Tackle Stolen Goods Missions?

Hello fellow commanders. I have been playing ED since shortly after it was announced at E3, and I have been enjoying every minute of it. Due to time constraints of my play time I have mostly been sticking to bulletin board smuggling missions with my Cobra or doing the occasional trade runs with my Type 6 when time allows.

When I saw they announced the Federal Corvette would be released “soon” I decided it was time to increase my rep with the Federation. I have only completed a few missions for the Federation so my rank is fairly low, but currently all of the missions I have been getting have been to bring stolen good X to them at Y. None of my ships have cargo scanners/interdictors/FSD wake scanners as they are mostly set up to maximize cargo space and LS travel, and I have never had a reason to add them.

Since most of you on here are far my experienced in this game I was wondering if you all think it would be best if I changed some things around on my ship(s) to include a cargo scanner to more easily complete these missions or if there was something I am overlooking so I would not have to change things around?

Thank you for your help I appreciate it. My gamertag is saltysamx so if you see me plodding around in space feel free to say hello!

Personally, I skip stolen goods missions. For promotion missions, I only pull delivery and occasionally combat[though not recommended once you rank up past Ensign].

That is good to know, thank you. I was not sure if it would just keep giving me stolen goods missions until I completed one or if was varied. Does station/system have something to do with it?

Not really, as long as you have a Friendly or higher rep, and you are doing missions for the minor faction that is aligned under the major faction. In our case we only have two right now, Feds and Imps
