What are the exploration factions and systems to start a expedititon?

I am currently preparing to submit a exploration related multistage CG but need more information/suggestions where it could be hosted (system) and by what faction/power.

I think the Colonia factions would be able to help you the best, but the trouble there is that far fewer people would participate in a CG held there than in one inside the old bubble. Also, don't forget that the CCN is now an official player faction.

From inside the old bubble: there should still be plenty of groups interested, although you could also submit one for some non-player minor faction. To be honest though, I have no idea whether that would improve or worsen your chances of the CG getting accepted. However, it's likely that FD judge your proposal more on what it actually would entail, and if they find those acceptable, but not the faction, then they'll just discuss doing it for another faction with you.

I think it would be better if I sort out the (player) faction to do it with before rather then after submitting the CG.

Two factions first to pop in mind are Children of Raxxla and Canonn.
CoR need obviously explo data to find Raxxla and Canonn is doing science'y stuff all over.
