What are the point of extras in food/drink stands?

I haven't done a lot of observation on it, but it's mentioned in the tutorial videos on youtube that the extras can give extra boosts to energy levels etc. BUT if the difference is there then it's a small difference - the biggest factor is that we can't actually tell how much it costs to add those extras and how it affects the prices peeps are willing to pay, and therefore our profit.

as for pickiness, I doubt it tbh - it may affect satisfaction with costs but only minimally based on tests others have done so far!

Ah, seems like an odd/uneeded feature then. Thanks for your help. :)

Yeah, it feels like a feature that is implemented for nostalgia's sake, not like something someone has actually thought about.

I would like an overview of how much these extra's cost me, how guests feel about them, how much of each gets sold.
Also i'd like to be able to have a Chief Beeft XL burger with Pickles and one without Pickles to give guests even more choice (and to easily check the difference between the two)

The monthly running costs of your shops change depending on which extras you offer, so you can see what each extra costs.
This still doesn't answer the question what each extra does (especially since inc reduces you costs), but at least it's one thing we do know.

This is a bit of an odd thing though - how much per item? whats the profit margin, per item. If the running costs don't vary each month by the number of items sold, then it's a variable percentage added on, if it does then it's a pain in the bum to calculate for each extra. Just a thought - a little instant feedback from the UI here wouldn't hurt :)

As far as I can tell there is no "per item" cost. It's just a flat adjustment of the monthly running costs.

There seem to be to categories of extras (concerning their costs): "Ice"(Gulpee) and "everything else".
"Ice"has a base value of -5$, "everything else" is +1.5$.
"A little","some" and "a lot" are just factors x1 / x2 / x3 and all the extras are independent of each other.
There really isn't much to it.

hmm. thanks for the info. kind of sucks though. I really would hope that there was more to it than that :(
