What are usually POIs outside the bubble?

I'm about 2,000ly from the bubble. Yesterday, while flying over a high metal content planet to setup for the night, I suddenly detected a large POI on my sensor. Even when all the way zoomed out, the POI would occupy the entire sensor. I was over 10km high. I set the ship down in what I thought was the center of the POI and deployed the SRV. I went around, in a large circle, over 2km from the ship. Didn't detect anything on the wavescanner.

So, what can you expect to find as a POI when out of the bubble?

I have found the following:

- Crashed beacons that when scanned provide intel data for one of the superpowers.
- Crashed ships with canisters and occasionally materials.

The crashed beacons appear as a narrow band at the top of the wave scanner, while the canisters are a narrow band just below the top band reserved for the crashed beacons. I always find these while driving, I never bother searching with the ship.

Gotcha. Yes, I'm very familiar with structures on the wavescanner and canisters. Just a bit strange that there would be something like a beacon out there.

And, are those POIs visible from over 10km high usually and that big?

NOt sure about the 10KM high detection of POIs because when i exit SC i am only around 6-7KM and i never go up again unless i am leaving the planet. From an altitude of 6/7KM i have no idea what's below me even if the scanner shows there's a POI and i have to get on the ground to SRV.

And yes, there's alot of stuff on planets/moons outside the bubble.
