What are your plans when the game releases?

Where do you plan to go and what will you do as soon as the game comes out?

First off I plan on calling in sick for several days and then download this awesomeness, start the game, create my avatar, find a home in the galaxy map that I can get to, start grinding it out as fast as I can. Oh and getting like two hours sleep a day! HAHA! Cannot wait....

First off I plan on calling in sick for several days and then download this awesomeness...

I am embarrassed to reveal how many times I have done that with games releases in the past! Usually on a Thursday! Now that I am retired it is no longer an issue.

Experience and skills counts and those who have it will quickly advance. I was going for a quick combat ascension but with the current passenger mission payouts maybe some combat to get into an 14M A-rated Dolphin then advancing to an 95M Orca with more profits. That will get me into an awesome A-rated Python or even a fully A-rated engineered Anaconda in a very short time.

Knowing the bubble I also know where to go to setup my home system, get allied with all the home factions as well as the neighboring systems and start getting the best mission profits. Still I'll probably play around in Open at the starting systems to welcome new players to the game. With griefers this will be a challenge. With PlayStation's awesome multi-player advantages and excellent voice chat hopefully this will be a lot easier if Frontier supports them.

After the newness wears off I'll probably go exploring to the other side of the galaxy in a well fitted PS4 explorer Anaconda keeping my PC CMDR for when I get space crazy!

I agree with the passenger missions. This is where the money is right now in the game. But you have to mix in the combat to keep your sanity. Maybe a Keelback with fighter bay for passenger missions and a Vulture for combat. Then start grinding it out for a Python or Conda. You need a good half a billion to get a good Conda with money left over for rebuy's. This will be my goal I think.

I shall do a few missions to get some Ickies, then upgrade my Sidey a bit to then go and do a bit of Bounty Hunting.Ultimatley i want a nice Explorer/Passenger ship to "Boldly go where no Bold Person has been before!"

Probably this - depending on release date which if i knew what it was.....

Everything - except mining - frankly not my cup of tea. Yamiks did a great youtube video this week on mining - PASS if you please. (of course horses for courses and all that...). COMBAT mostly to start to a) git gud and b) git credits to start my DBX build for exploring....

Low RES in starter to get enough of a meager build to fly out to whatever CG is happening at that time. From there, I'll work towards top 80% contribution and BH locally in a Viper until CG ends. Once CG wraps, cash-out and rinse/repeat until I can afford a slaver pancake. Archon demands fresh Imps!

Considering the file size and my dial up connection download speed. I'll spend the first 30 to 33 hours watching with extreme anticipation, the little download in progress indicator. I've already aquired and mounted my hotas t-flight 4, stocked up on chips, dip, beer, taquila, and a couple of (legal up to 4 grams here in Mexico, soon to be 26) joints.

Then in 2 to 3 weeks, maybe a month if my liver and or lungs holds out, utilize the tutorials. After which, it's solo for 5 to 6 months until I able to obtain a sizeable cashflow, thinking maybe 100 to 150 mill. should do the trick. Upgrade from Side Winder to probably an Asp Explorer with a full coverage insurance plan. SO, using June 30 as a launch date. Looks like I'll be ready to join the throng on or about the first of January, 2018.

I'll be saving up for an Adder. The Adder reminds me of my SUV IRL, and it's the cheapest two-seater, so perhaps I'll be able to invite some of you along for multiplay adventures. I might get the yellow paint job and become a space taxi (with a big gun) for awhile. Eventually I'll upgrade to bigger and better things, but I don't want to rush the journey to the endgame.

I fancy fitting out a Cobra for a trip to Sag A* or maybe Colonia. Should be a nice earner with passenger missions paying as well as they do although i'm not sure how rank will effect payout and availability of these missions.
I'll definitely be getting in some local space exploration early on.

I agree, I have watched many youtube videos and read many threads and feel too many people just want to grind up to the larger ships. I too am going to upgrade to an Adder and enjoy the journey – trying different careers (even mining! I think!) :)

Well me and my mates have a few plans, starting off will be basic trading/bounty hunting just for a short while to get things rolling.
Our main plan we will be running our company called Derp Tours [haha] Taking the rich across the galaxy to see the weird and wonderful. We are all planning a nab a liner of some sort and then something you can run as an armed escort.

Me personally I will be nabbing an iEagle and putting the full works into it ASAP, it will make a fast interceptor when escorting the liners and then will serve me well for my plans as a BH/Merc when i'm flying without a wing.

Yeah I know, will be ok to start with relatively small tours but I have been looking at other ships as a long term replacement and in the short term my group will be trading with some of us running escorts to start.

Though with my lack of experience I am not yet sure which ships would be more valuable to what I need. More research me thinks!

First I want to set up my Holo-me and change it to my avatar. Then on to flying out to another system to set up some trading. Grinding up the ship ladder is second goal being sure I always have enough credits to cover buy back cost for Insurance. I am retired I have no need to rush slowly working to Elite status in trading, combat, and exploring. I will have my eyes on the Platinum trophy for Elite Dangerous on PS4. I will always be looking forward for PSVR in Elite. Just doing what I need to survive and enjoy my time while playing.
