I have 3 favorites:
  1. The Beginners Guide
  2. Half Life 2
  3. Planetside 2

I'm interested in your guys favorites. [hotas]

In no particular order

1. Holiday Island
2. Rollercoaster Tycoon series before World
3. Gemcraft series
4. SimCity4

1. The elder scrolls IV Oblivion : freedom, good gameplay, exploration, and quests
2. The elder scrolls V Skyrim : the same that Oblivion + the nordic theme
3. Cities Skylines : very complete, rich, easy to use, nice to the eye, and with lots of custom content.
4. Fallout 4 : the same that Oblivion even if the story is less good.
5. Fallout New Vegas : the same that Oblivion + New Vegas very nice and very good quests.
6. Simcity 4 : I can't play on it in windows 10 but it was a great game in which I passed many many hours, and a lot of custom content.

And in the future Planet Coaster !

In no particular order

1. Rollercoaster Tycoon: (What a surprise)
2. GTA - Vice City: the 80s Atmosphere and the soundtrack are superb. Not to forget LoveFist.)
3. GTA V: Story and Characters are not as great as in GTA 4 (Brucie was the best :D ) - but all in all GTA 5 is the better game. Great Story-Telling, great Characters, a huge and beautifully designed world, a great "holiday"- atmosphere and a good soundtrack.
4. Monkey Island 1 - 3: Great Point and Click Adventures. Hard to make a favorite out of these three. Great puzzles, great humour - great games. But Monkey Island 4 was pretty bad.
5. Grim Fandango: A masterpiece ;)
6. Broken Sword: One of my favorite Adventure games. Suspense, Thriller and Adventure mixed with great, subtle humour.
7. The Walking Dead (Season 1): I don't like Zombie-games...I find zombies pretty boring but this game is really, really good.
8. Super Mario World: My favorite Mario game.
9. Zelda - Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time: Both are two of the best games ever made.
10. Conkers Bad Fur Day: What a weird game...what a perfect game.

Had to go and check my stats to see which game made me play the longest in one sitting. Also had to take to account how memorable the game was and how much f its content I remember. These are the results I came up with:

1. = Age of Empires =
I was sure I put Cossacks Back to war here, but the first AoE was set in much more interesting time period and was an RTS where I've played campaign not just a skirmish.
2. = Pillars of Eternity =
Just a smart proper RPG. Apparently having Intriguing story and world full of various conflicts and distinguishable characters helps with keeping you playing. People still say I should better play some Divinity Original Sin though.
3. = Blazing Angels 1 and 2 =
Over the top WWII dogfight game with really nice graphical design. The only game of its time with such variety of missions!
4. Transport Giant = Despite some bad rep this game has, I find myself constantly reinstalling it. It just has so much content in it. Oh look, Rollercoaster tycoon isn't apparently my favorite tycoon game.
5. = Fallout 4 =
I ended up exploring the world for hours looking in every nook and cranny before even touching the campaign. By my experience with F3 I was expecting it to end at any moment.
6. = Tomb Raider Anniversary, Legend and Underworld =
because I simply loved how entire maps were an intricate mechanize in form of a puzzle not to mention awesome places to visit! (haven't played the newest but "Survivor is born" was just a brainless Rambo game)
7. = The Testament of Sherlock Holmes =
Great and smart crime point and click adventure. Its dark, gritty and brutal world just made me want to clean it... from crime!
8. = Civilization V =
This thing is so addictive I'm afraid to touch it again in case I will get "just one more turn" syndrome (Turn based games do this to me). I just wished some aggressive historical rulers were actually aggressive. That Khan guy is such a nice hippie.
9. = Quake 2 =
Surprised? I was expecting some other shooter here like Fear 2, but apparently this games Industrial sounds and decor full of just concrete and steel speak to me so well that I even found Quake 4 to be great fun.
10. Mass Effect 2 =
The one sequel that did everything good. Characters are great and well developed and gameplay vastly improved over the original. Plot doesn't seem to be neither boring nor imbecilic. Love the series, but here just nothing annoyed me.
11 = Borderlands 2 =
Its nothing sophisticated, but I never laughed so much not to mention loot got me going onwards like crazy and I'm not even into grinding.

These are a few of my favourites.

1) Elite Dangerous.
2) RCT3
3) Frontier Elite 2 (On the Amiga)
4) The lucasarts Point & Click games
5) GTA Vice city
6) Monkey Islands.
7) Sid Metiers Pirates (Amiga)
8) Pinball Fantasies & Dreams (Amiga again)
9) COD MW1&2 & Black Ops
10) Sabrewulf (Spectrum)

1. Halo (I first played it when I was 6 in an arcade. Didn't know the name of the game until 5-6 years later when my nephew told me about it. Fell in love with the game (until Halo 4))
2. Bioshock (my first 'horror' game. I remember watching a full playthrough before buying the game so I knew all the scary stuff). Bioshock 2 was OK, but Infinite blew my mind again (the dlc though, so awesome).
3. RCT1/3. (I had RCT1 for a long time, until the cd decided to blow up while the game was running (it happened to a friend of mine too, a few weeks before mine exploded). Got RCT3 for christmas a few years after that. It was the best christmas of my life haha.)

The games I'm currently obsessed with are Subnautica and the Halo Spartan Assault games.

1. Geometry Dash
Geometry Dash is the most addictive and stressful game of all time. You just can't put it down. But be careful. If you let yourself play too long, expect quite a few broken items around you.

2. RCT3
Self-explanatory.

3. Bloons Monkey City
What do you get when you add a city builder and tower defence? This game. Very addictive and unique gameplay.

4. RCT2
Self-explanatory.

5. Bloons TD 5
Came out in 2011, this game is still a favourite to tons of people. However, it does get quite repetitive at some points.

1. Red Dead Redemption
2. Bioshock
3. Okami
4. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
5. Uncharted 2
6. Football Manager series
7. Donkey Kong Country 2
8. RCT 2
9. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
10. Mario Kart series

Those are my favourite games/game series although narrowing it down to 10 was pretty tough.

Not necessarily in order of preference :

  • Minecraft (definitely the one I played the most)
  • Shenmue (1 & 2 ! I miss you Dreamcast ...)

  • Final Fantasy (My unpopular opinion : I like the 8 more than the 7 ...)
  • Portal (1 & 2)
  • Mass Effect (1, 2 and especially the 3)
  • The Saga of Ryzom (an french MMORPG for nostalgic reasons)
  • The Legend of Zelda - Link to the Past (For all car journeys with my gameboy)
  • Tomb Raider (almost all the franchise, and particularly the reboot)
  • Deus Ex (franchise)
  • Age of Empires
