What are your plans with terrain?

my idea is to finish this with the tools, rather than using 100% rocks.

Waiting on Alpha 2 to work on the hill area for my alpine/swiss/german mountain village area, create a small river/lake around my park centerpiece, and begin work on little Italy's canals :)
I am so looking forward to Alpha 2 I am attempting to get 2 weeks or more worth of work done this week so I can just play for hours on end without interruption and have time to edit and upload new videos for my planet coaster series on youtube. Going to be a great week!

It will be nice if we get the park map of Mount Rushmore, I thought that was a brilliant piece of sculpting by one of the devs.

I agree, that was so impressive, me I'm ok at making a hill, my sculpture skills are none existent. can't wait for some excellent empty maps with great sculptures. Roll on Alpha 3!

I love messing around with the tools but in the long run I just dont have the time and only some of the talent/patience to create truly wonderful things. Between my imagination and the screen something gets lost in translation. Though I have fun trying.[big grin]

What i would like in the final release is a lot of really interesting maps ready made in a variety of sizes to play on. Maybe even a random map generator - that would be fantastic. With sliders to determine the amount and size of hills/mountains ,water levels and vegetation amounts. Even the ability to choose a theme such as Paradise ( lots of palm trees etc), Temperate (the more normal types of trees ), you get my drift [yesnod]. Then I could edit it myself to make fine adjustment .... Am I just bieng too lazy??!! [rolleyes]

I'm with you on this.

I'm glad we can move the terrain around your buildings/paths. That was the biggest issue with RCT 3. You moved the ground slightly, and all the paths disconnected [down][downcast]

Cracking idea [up]

I asked about a terrain randomizer during the digging deeper stream but to no avail. I think we might see it but if not I have plenty of time in zbrush and a ton of imagination to make anything.
