What bothers me about Coaster King

I'm not sure where else to post this as it's too late to update the character, but I have to ask.

Coaster King is cool, and I like how his shoes are little Roller Coasters.
But how come they didn't design him to use them as roller skates?

How else thinks it would have been cool to see him perform skate tricks if they were.

Interesting idea!
Though he would probably still need to be able to walk normally, like when the path is getting crowded, or he is going up and down elevations.
But for standing stationary and entertaining people that could be really funny to look at!

Would you say roller skates are easy to balance on? How about balancing while wearing a giant marshmallow that limits your visibility to what's directly in front of you.
Then try doing that on a crowded footpath with little children that would be below your field of vision.

Unless Coaster King was a living creature that ate roller coasters for breakfast I think a lot of people would be knocked over.

I was actually screensharing with a friend on skype while playing, and he was like "what is that?" and I explained he's a planet with a coaster going around him, and zoomed in and noticed the shoes and thought "they look like skates, why isn't he skating?" I actually never realised they were small coaster cars~

Maybe skating is planned? we don't know yet, its only Alpha ;0

In yesterday I saw a girl with shoes with strapped on skates that are just two wheels (one pair) located at the heel. She could walk or skate. Maybe it could be this solution!

As someone who costume animates for a living... roller skates are a bad idea! [haha][haha][haha]

Skating while in costume is not impossible, I've seen it done at skating rinks and hockey games. I can't see somebody skating around an entire park, though, as that would be a safety hazardous, especially in non-flat surfaces. However, it could be done in a small designated "safe zone".

As somebody else mentioned, there are such things as shoe/skate hybrids which allows you to convert between walking or skating instantly. They actually work quite well too. It would be cool to see an entertainer that walks around, and just occasionally slips into "skate mode" to perform tricks or whatever. Not everything has to be 100% realistic

Watching Coaster King go bowling through crowds would be pretty funny, though!
