General / Off-Topic What came first? Latest Generation Trident Nuclear Submarine, or Federal Dropship?

Ok, so given that we know many design engineers who really want to design Klingon Disrupters, Phaser pistols and Laser blasters have to be content and happy with designing electric screwdrivers instead, meaning that producers of ultra low budget scifi movies can just pick the best and coolest props off the shelf for next to nothing and spray them up with a bit of silver paint for their productions to look all swishy and flashy, does anyone believe as I do that the designers of the latest generation Trident Nuclear Submarines in our British fleet depicted here in this meme graphic below are drawing their inspiration from the Federal Dropship in our game?

Surely, this can't just be a coincidence?

Can anyone confirm or deny that the nautical engineers designing these high tech contemporary weapons of real war are, or were Elite Dangerous players?

Really sorry that I can't explain the full context of my photoshopped meme graphic posted here as there will later be some legal problems if I were to divulge too much information about it, as it is a real world situation that will involve real world legal action soon. So you will just have to use your imagination instead, and please don't try to ask me any questions or demand any detailed explainations either. Just stick to the topic in question, or the mods will be furious.

Thanks - Si

The new Dreadnought class Trident boats don’t look like the meme picture. What you’ve got there is an image of Vanguard class bomber taken from a Daily Mail infographic - the Vanguards entered service in ‘93, started building in ‘86, and the initial design stages on paper probably started at least a decade before that.

I’m willing to bet absolutely everything I own that the designers of the sub in your meme picture had not played Elite Dangerous and had somehow taken inspiration from the Federal Dropship which released nearly 4 decades later 👍

Cool thanks for the intel. Yes it was leached from the crappy Daily Mail pic. But still the resemblance is spooky. Perhaps it could still be that the Frontier graphics designers might possibly have drawn their inspiration from the older Vanguard design maybe? Who knows.
