What can I do to get the latest update to download?

2.0.08 Is live currently. And has rendered my main account completely unplayable. I keep running into the Unable to connect to stream error (or whatever the thing is called) after the files take about a hour to download and go to finalize the install. That's only after I use the Alternative Download Method in the launcher option to even get it to download the files at all.

I've filed a ticket already but I really don't want to be waiting around for a response from Frontier right now. (especially since there's a meetup today I want to bring my Imperial Clipper to)

Is there anything I can do that doesn't involve me uninstalling both my accounts and re doing my main account on steam to let it take care of it? That would be 1 an major hassle, and 2 render my second account useless and not actually fix my problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same thing happen.

Try doing a file search in the game folder and it's subfolders for *.part and *.progress and delete any of them and restart your download.

Uh, if you're using steam, validation of the game files works pretty well for that error. Had it a few times, worked every time.
If not, can't help you. Soz. Lol

Try doing a file search in the game folder and it's subfolders for *.part and *.progress and delete any of them and restart your download.

Had this exact problem. In the main directory find:
elitedangerous 64.exe
elitedangerous 64.exe.part
elitedangerous 64.exe.progress
elitedangerous 64.exe.watchdog

Delete* them. And the update should go through. If you still have trouble try selecting "alternate download option" from the launcher

*or just move them if you don't want to risk deleting files.
