The nearly 200 hours I've sunk into it were just wasted, then? Wow, I had no idea. Just me and my Asp cruising around a bug-filled wonderland, trading here, exploring there, shooting down various hostile faction ships...oblivious to all the glitches and badness all around me.
I'm failing to see how I'd have gotten the same fun from $50 of dollar store junk, personally.

I should not feed trolls, but perhaps people enjoy talking about the experiences they have in game? I play for a couple of hours each night and enjoy every minute. For me it was money well spent and I enjoy chipping in on the forums.
Well your certainly not right either as the VISION had offline play in it!
Elites tag line, play how you want to play..... well personally i want to play offline if i want to, i want to play a game that works as intended without bugs (accepting when in beta there are development bugs), oh and id like to play the game i was promised!
