What day is the end/beginning of each PP cycle? I.e. what day we have to cash our merits in and get our rewards, etc.?

Thursday.

Found out the hard way. Had 8040, was grinding and got up to 1980 Wed night. I wasn't paying attention to time. Went to go turn them in and didn't get the 50 million. Merit stash is now at 4000. Arghh...

So does that mean I need to hand in the merits before it turns 00:01 Thursday morning?

Well cycle and servers go off line just before 7am GMT, yes I found this out to my cost rushing to complete last merit run.
