Newcomer / Intro What did i find?

Purple sun with insane heat and gravitational pull. It puts me at 200% heat trying to leave when finding the escape vector.

Sounds like a Purple Star with intense heat and gravity! ;)

Seriously though color and heat would put it in the Class O (oh) range. These stellar objects radiate from Blue to the Ultra Violet so purple would be in that range. These stars burn at greater than 30,000 degrees Kevin and are around 16 solar masses which would account for the high heat and gravity. That is my best guess.

Sounds interesting!! Hope you packed heat sinks.

From "Insane gravitational pull" I'm guessing a neutron star but that is speculation. Care to share which system?

The only thing more dense that a Neutron Star is a Black Hole. Neutron stars have temp of about 5 million degrees kelvin and mass of around 2 solar masses but very dense. However they radiate mostly in the X-ray to Gamma Ray spectrum with very little visible light. If you popped out of hyperspace that close to a Neutron Star, you would probably be crushed and fried before you even had a chance to see where you were. I still think it is a Class O.

Next time something like that happens, back off and open the system map and check the description of the object. Then you'll know for sure. :)

purple stars are brown dwarfs (even if they can be massive)
They are basicly gas giants who have not enough mass to ignite a fusion process
