What do I all need to land on a planet?

Not sure what I all need. I have the planetory approach suite but no srv, where do I get one?

Most stations (not outposts of course) will sell SRV's. Should be as simple as going tot he slot in outfitting and purchasing one.

Do you have Horizons? If so, you can buy a SRV bay in any outfitting station. If you don't have Horizons, you can't buy an SRV bay or land on a planet. (all ships have the Planetary Approach Suite, even in regular Elite.)

You have to buy SRV bay, and SRV. Then you are good to go.

You can also land *without* SRV, for example, if you just want to visit starports.

Well to land on a planet, you just need a ship. all of these come equiped with the planetary approach suite by standard which can't be removed. However if you want to do something else than just flying over everything, just go into outfitting at any star port and buy a hangar. After buying the hangar, don't forget that the srv has to be purchased too. (met another cmdr over at the alien wrecksite who had bought only the hangar but had forgotten the SRV so...)

Of course there are. Look for the missions with the horizon logo next to the mission name. It looks like an arc with a star in the middle.
