Horizons What do I do wrong(engineering an fsd on an asp explorer)?

I made a new fsd engineering to try to get better result but I don't get close to 45ly, rather 40ly. What do I do wrong? :(
Made a video when doing from 1-4 level of the FSD(begins four min in) and the final result as a screen shot.

This is a really decent roll. You've got a little unlucky with the module mass, but fuel per jump makes up for it a little.

What you are doing wrong is everything else. Even the best roll possible would add one or two lightyears to this build. This is a really good jump range for A-rated combat Asp. If you want more, you'll have to start shedding some weight. ;)
D-rated modules, lightweight mods where applicable and mods with mass reducing secondary effects everywhere else.

You haven't told us what exactly do you wan to do with the Asp. Missions? Light combat? Exploration? Depending on the amount of fighting you'll be doing, you can make some sacrifices. And if you're building an explorer, just go nuts with lightweight mods, ditch the weapons, etc...

By the looks of things, your asp is still outfitted for general usage

Try storing the weapons and hard points and downgrade your core internals to D class

If you remove the weapons and hard points, you can downgrade your power plant from a 5A to something like a 2D, that will significantly increase your range

My Anaconda has around 30ly jump for general use, but it has like 7A shields, highest possible core internals (7 or 8As) and such
The exploration build, gets about 55ly and I have a 3D shield, 5D thrusters etc.

Basically go with the lowest D class you can

This is the build i used for my trip to Patchwork Plains (6000ly), you might get a slightly better roll on the fsd if you work at it a bit. If you engineer anything elso go for light-weight and/or low emmissions (heat). I'd also advise a heatsink if possible (for those close dropouts at double stars !).

Good luck Cmdr ;)

As everyone else says. 48% is pretty good. None of my fleet go above this. You can waste a lot of time and resources trying to get 50% plus

It's already been said, but doesn't help to say again. With that purpose in mind, ditch all weapons because your best defence is to run away from trouble. Having weapons on board might tempt you to try and fight, which would likely be fatal .... and expensive.
