what do thrusters do?

i mean ive spent millions on my thrusts for my anaconda and im not too sure what exactly it does....
ive spent millions more on thrusts through out my other owned ships too.
so what do they do?

Check your top boost speed...you can downfit and upfit at no loss....there is a difference.

Also check your turn speeds, they should be better.

The problem I see is that with as big a ship as the Annie, it might seem to be subtle...but your boost speed should show a higher top....

I know that with A thrusters a Type 6 is a different ship to fly...less of a brick...boosts quickly and an appreciable difference in top boost speed.

On the Anaconda?

Kills you're drift rate, and gives you a wopping 20 m\ps more from the D thrusters. At least your laterals are a tad bit better, then again on the conda its only helpful for docking. In that case, do you want to spend 50 million to make docking a tad bit faster?

Dont even bother on the Conda, not worth it.

As for other ships, it stops being effective to upgrade thrusters once you hit the T9. Everything else gets noticeable benefits in terms of top speed and maneuvering.

and here I am new to ED thinking thrusters was what made you strafe up, down and left to right and boost was a function of your power plant and it's ability to deliver a little extra power to forward directional engines, for a moment (witch is really another set of thrusters separate from strafe thrusters)
