What do with Cobra?

I have some idea on what to do (keep bounty hunting) but I wanted some input. The past few weeks I started working on my cobra as an upgrade from the viper I was playing with for like a month. I've mostly been going to RES playing COBRA BATTLES(tm) farming CRs. I messed with exploring by getting the advanced discovery scanner + detailed surface at the cost of the other modules. While hitting the scanner just once was nice, it was still time consuming to have to scan all of the planets just to get 25k tops. Do I have to travel far away to get quick, profitable exploring? I've thought about trading too but it seems like I'd have to give up combat ability to do so.

Thoughts? My loadout currently. http://imgur.com/jw0G4tQ,MC2xJKL#0

I had a nice experience earlier ago in the fight against Anacondas with my Cobra.

My loadouts:
Weapon.
2x Beam laser gimbal
2x Multi cannon gimbal

Protection.
5x Shield battery cell

Fight against 4. Anacondas. One by one with authority vessel assistance ofc.
First i destroy her Drive hard-point. (they don't have stability and she is dead in the water, floating helpless without possibility to aim you with Plasma ACC)
And at the end i destroy Power plant.

Location: RES (searching for cobras, but i found anacondas and i get balls to test tactic, it works)
Reward: 400.000 crds

There is one thing. I struck in asteroid during evasion tactic. Be careful.

You can do pretty much anything with a Cobra so long as you outfit it for the job.

Nothing will earn you big money quickly with exploring. I'm ~2.5kly from Sol in my Cobra, if I get back in one piece (I'm not planning on turning round for several thousand light years yet...) the pay out will be significant but no more than a few percent of what I could have traded in the time.

That's what I do, trade and pirate hunting at the same time, the cobra is perfect for this.

Don't forget to go to NAV beacons because there are loads of pirates there and they keep coming all the time along with clean ships.

Nav Beacon bounty hunting is good and once you have enough cash to upgrade the modules you can start trading rares. 1.2 million credits for a round trip is good money.

The real question is, what can't you do with a Cobra?

Cobra is a multifunction ship. It depends on you what are you going to be (fighter, trader, explorer or all the three).

I repeat my opinion. For me, the cobra is transitional factor. With Cobra, i will make credit enough to buy a Python who is also multifunction spacecraft.

On top of making some good dosh towards an Asp, you can be getting really hacked off by its cockpit visibility (i.e. lack thereof) and terrible hardpoint placement.

I thought I'd keep it forever but those were a deal-breaker for me.
