Hello everyone.
So just a while ago I was scrolling through the Steam Forums. I stumbled upon a thread that reads 'What's your Wishlist for Planet Zoo?" While most of them were talking about a bunch of animal species, there is one post that might interest/disturb you:
"Animals attacking, fighting, killing, eating each other.
Blood, gore, gorillas ripping people's arms off, kids being swallowed whole by crocodiles, guests getting slaughtered by hippos....
This kinda of simple stuff."
Yup. Not kidding. . I know some of you are tired about similar posts, but I thought this would be an good case for us to dissect critically and as professional as we could be.
Here's my view:
As dangerous and crazy some species might seem to us, NONE OF THEM would even dare to attack humans, UNLESS they are provoked by someone, whether accidentally or on purpose. Gorillas are relatively passive and shy, and not even Harambe would think of ripping the little boy's arm. Although there are some rare instances (could be more in the past), a crocodile would usually get away, and no crocodiles could ever swallow a child whole. Hippos, while being the most lethal of all African animals (minus the mosquito), won't be triggered unless you trigger them, i.e. when you trespass their territory. Please feel free to agree or to correct my views.
In short, while it's true that animals can attack humans, it is only because humans are the idiots who disturb them, thinking it's a good idea to do such a thing. The chances of happening are quite rare. To those who 'demands' for adding killing animation to guests, I think it's not gonna happen. FD has better and more important things to do than animating an angry lion mauling a human or a bull elephant stampeding through a crowd of innocent people.
Thank you for reading.
