I wouldn't say this is a good measure of what to expect.
Any similarities with the Zoo Tycoon animal roster are purely because both games are zoo games, and these are animals found in zoos.
What do you think is the animal most likely to be in the game by the end of the game's run?

Any similarities with the Zoo Tycoon animal roster are purely because both games are zoo games, and these are animals found in zoos.
Beside obvious animals I think some unexpected choices come from their xbox zoo tycoon version like:
Looking at this roster from major categories we are only missing: macaws. sloth, fossa and mongoose.
- West African Lion
- Himalayan Brown Bear
- Formosan Black Bear
- Nyala
- Colombian White-faced Capuchin
- Lesser Antillean Iguana
- Yellow Anaconda
- Nile Monitor
- Red Ruffed Lemur

Oh no, i didn't mean that just because they were featured in ZT, they will be added in PZ. It was just something i noticed about that list, and ZT hits right on the nostalgia for me so i approved lol I would love if the whole ZT roster is included in PZ.
But even so i think PZ has an overall better roster than ZT had at this point. Like i said the only BIG NAMES missing imo are the dromedary camel, the black rhino and the nile crocodile.
I was really fond of the caracal, the gibbon, the secretary bird (mostly), the gelada and the gerenuk from ZT, and a lot of people really seem eager to get a spectacled bear as well, but i would not care at all if things like the ethiopian wolf or the javan rhino never make it into PZ.
