What do you think of the Apple App?

I was having the log in problem , but after resetting my password I'm able to log in again.
It's a bit simple as an app and not particularly useful.
Needs a Galnet feed and more information on the system your ship is in would be better.

I can never get logged in, would be good if it had the galaxy map in it and you could route plan from it.. assuming you can get logged in (which I managed once!)
I am actually left speechless by the fact that this even exists at this point in the game's development.

What he saidinstalled it last night tried it out and thought what's the point.
if they maybe added the ability to make purchases on the commodity market then it might be handy for the odd buy something and sell it again when the price rises making a few cr's while the computers off and watching telly. Perhaps we could have stocks and shares in the local stations available to purchase and trade within the app.

I'm glad they made an app. But I wish they'd made an app that was actually useful. It really needs more information, and most especially it should have a GalNet news feed (that would probably be the single thing that would take this app from mere marketing fluff to a valuable game companion).

I tried it a week or two ago and found it was unusable on my iphone 4s. Too slow, and crashed a couple of times. I haven't really tried it further since.
Not sure what the real function of it was though. Seemed like just some basic info on Elite from what I could get to come up.
I would love it to give me a 2d map of the galaxy so I could use it as an info screen for my location and next jumps etc or to have trade data history from previous visits to systems/stations to help find that good trade for those with bad memories like myself
