Newcomer / Intro What does a fleet carrier having a local activity of 'Search and Rescue" mean?

See a few with this in local system, go to and nothing obvious to do there either. Does some type of Search and Rescue event trigger eventually? What is the local activity? Is a player character CMDR owned carrier, is it something they just set for their squad mates and friends?

AFAIK, it's just a descriptive setting that's set by the commander in charge of the carrier. It has no more effect than the commander's choice of carrier name.
