what does Elite Dangerous mean: Horizons Season Pass

Question?
On which one term I'm buying Elite Dangerous: Horizons Season Pass
For infinite time
for 3 months
for 1 year.
You have a lot of money game worth a fortune, so I want to know what is hidden under the word Elite Dangerous Season Pass

P.S.
You guys are very complicated.
And all is not clear (not known).
And everything is very expensive.
And Everything is very buggy on the site.
You need to do something with it.

As a novelty, I don’t understand what the DLC is and what’s what, why, I’ve been following the game for 2 years and don’t buy it because I don’t really understand what and how.
In many of your DLC is really very difficult to understand.

Who says that your servers are not working. Someone says that it is impossible to enter the game.
And this is exactly the reason why you lose customers.
But the most negative thing is that you are fighting piracy, because of this you have few buyers.
Because many believe that you are selling a cat in a bag.
You have a beautiful wrapping but game.
I did not play more and I do not know whether it is worth buying me and spending money.
What I really do not understand.
And the price is really very high.

I advise you to change the policy and simplify everything and not load newbies with a bunch of paid DLC. With different colors because it scares off newbies.
They get confused and decide not to buy this crap.

Just sell ED and EDH , don't load bull.
or describe ALL DLC in more detail what is what, from where, where and why.
So that I can figure it out.

I think if you can't work out what the DLC is in over 2 years then you are probably not going to be able to handle the actual game. Save your money and play something else, otherwise you will probably only get frustrated and treat us to yet more technicolour yawns on the forum.

One thing is actually true. Its not entirely clear how it works.
Season pass should mean that once you buy that, you'll get all following DLC for one, usually lower price.
When we buy Horizons, we get updates for it, but there are no DLCs that someone without season pass could also buy.
There's new payed update coming in 2020 - will people with Horizons Season Pass receive it for free?
If not, then in Elite Season Pass actually means something different than it should.
It's more like Horizons Preorder.

Problem with calling it a season pass is that (in retrospect) it now implies a time aspect that no longer exists - they should just rebrand as "horizons", which is what we usually call it.

Otherwise: we were called "complicated" 🙆‍♀️ Better than being called "simple" :)

A season pass is a pre-order, covering a series of updates over a given period of time (and usually you don'tn ecessarily know what exactly you're getting beforehand) . The fact Frontier didn't also sell those updates separately is rather irrelevant IMO.
And no, clearly owning Horizons wont entitle you to the 2020 expansion. The Horizons season is over, it ended with the 2.4 update.

Simple is not being able to understand the fundamental concept of time passing.

You see, season pass by definition is a pre-order of DLC's, not updates (basically any game or DLC gets updates over time nowdays). You're paying for a bundle of unknown DLC's that might cost more when bought separately.
therefore naming Horizons as such is a little confusing.
If there's no DLC that you can buy separately, "Season Pass" just looses it's meaning.
In case of Horizons, you just bought a DLC.

I dealt with such games as ksp, Empyrion Galactic Survival, Space Enginers, No Man'Sky, I will deal also with this. But this game absolutely unfriendly for beginners.

Here what I have under a word difficult. (Developers as if do not want that it was bought.)
There is no detailed description that where and for what.
In my country many complain that a game only through VPN Which should be adjusted via the modem or additional programs works. otherwise will connect it is just impossible.
And developers do not promote it.
Many do not understand why to activate a key via the website frontier.
Why it is impossible just to start a game and to play.
Here that I had under a word difficult .

I am afraid to buy a game because it is not sure whether it will work in general for me,
or I will play 2-3 times for 1 year, and there will be a new updating.
I will need to buy it again. It frightens me.

Frontier Developments do not scrap a game when it is "updated," they honor existing players. Updates only mean you can do more things, that is all. You don't need to keep buying it again, you can play the game you bought until you are tired of it and want to upgrade it.

Well it is on sale right now on Steam. I recommend you buy the game and don't be scared.
There's lots of help available on the forums for new players.
If you have a newer computer and a good internet connection you should be fine.

Was just about to post the same thing.

Referring to Horizons as a "season pass" was fine while Horizons was the current "season" but now we're heading toward a new horizon (pun intended) it'd probably smarter to refer to it as the "Horizons Expansion" or something similar that doesn't imply any kind of time-frame.

There will be more paid updates in the future adding more content and features, although of course you will be free to decide whether you want it or just keep playing with what you already have.

There will also be free updates to the base game (and maybe to Horizons too) at no additional charge as there have been for the past 4 years.
