What does "Hyperspace de-throttle" do exactly?

I see that flash up after I jump but I've never been able to work out it's purpose. I would think it was to squash the throttle input as you reach the star so you don't plow on into it. Except that's not what I see. If I don't zero the throttle before or after the jump, I just plow on into the star. It's probably the most repetitive motion my throttle device is subjected to. At least with maneuverable ships i don't bother but the cows you need to throttle back as you wait a few minutes to adjust course out of the star.

Is there something it actually does?

Don't know, i heard about it, i'm pretty sure i've even seen it, but it's been months that i look for that but i can't find it anymore!

It does just that. although If using an actual throttle, then it is just going to go back to where it is set immediately, but if using keyboard or mousewheel for throttle, then it zeroes throttle when you arrive after a jump (usually, sometimes it bugs out and stops working for a while regardless)

It works, but only if you are using mouse/keyboard/controller.

If you leave your hotas throttle at full throttle, the ship assumes you want full throttle again.

As it should IMO. never assume you know better than the pilot, game. (Even if you probably do)

Never take control away without s specific request
