What does "Shinrarta Dezhra" mean?

Just a weird thought after having several beers.

But seriously - what does that mean? Is it some ancient goddess? Or some ancient thingie? Or some random words you tend to invent after having too many beers?

Liqua named it and didn't say what it meant at the time. Whether FD told Drew or he made something up for his novel I've no idea.

Here's Liqua's post about it:

A mix of Russian and Arabic? Yikes.

Especially considering that Russian is my mother tongue.

Thanks for clearing that out, anyway!

I have no idea what it means.
We simply call the system Founders. Far easier than the in game name, which I find quite... Erm silly? Or maybe over complicated?

Life, she saw, hope.

It was revealed before, but Drew mentioned it in Elite Premonition in a conversation between Hassan and Luko.

"Shinrarta Dezhra" was named by me, and is an amalgamation of Russian and Arabic:
Russian (zhizn' [жизнь] meaning "Life")
Arabic (ra'at [رات] meaning "she saw")
Russian (nadezhda [надежда] meaning "Hope")

It means ship discounts, a cheaper re-buy and not having to hoof around the galaxy just to find the module you want.
