General / Off-Topic What does the President know that we don't?

As far back as I remember (And I will be 60 in a few weeks) every person who has promised this or that during the election, walked back some of their campaign promises after they were elected.

This thread is not about how politicians lie to get into office. Let's admit that some fibbing does occur and go beyond that..

This is not about some conspiracy that involves the "book of secrets" that conspiracy theorists talk about.

This is simply me wondering just what a person finds out when they get into office and information is revealed to them that the rest of us never see.

Have you ever noticed how fast grey hairs start popping up on the President's head after they are in office?

Seeing our alien overlords with you own eyes and being forced to lick their shoe bottoms does that, one's delusions of grandeur vanish...

:p

They find out the internet at the White House is like dialup speeds, and since its an old neighborhood they don't have fiber and would have to tear up the Rose Garden to get it to the house...

I think Obama went grey because he was young so he still had grey to go. Every other president dyes their hair or was already grey. Bill Clinton probably had silver hair in his 20s like Steve Martin.

They discover that it is the Aliens who manage the world. I agree with you

Nah, they first discover that the run the world and then they're informed about the being them David Ickean Reptiles from a galaxy far away, and how us humans are really from the Andromeda galaxy and came here in a pyramid-shaped ship named Tiamat.

That's a good point.

I sometimes wonder how much German chancelors are set under pressure to go for something that is clearly not in the interest of the people living in this county. TT... IP is one example.

Another TOPIC: I saw ARRIVAL today. Great movie. Leaves you emotional in your seat

They get informed about all what they really NEED to know ;)

One example:
When Obama got president, he has asked: "now that i'm president of america, tell me: are there aliens? What's about this stuff from Roosevelt? (Right written?) What is in Area 51?"

And the answer was: (from one of the military)
These papers and information get revealed when there is a NEED for this. Obscuriosity of the president isn't a need!"

And he still don't know about these things :D

I doubt that Trump get informed about ANYTHING important [haha]

Here's the TTIP negotiating texts (and yea, someone - probably the opposition - had to protest that those negotiations behind closed doors are undemocratic and so on, but that's what you do as a citizen, if things happen you don't like): http://trade.ec.europa.eu/doclib/press/index.cfm?id=1230
Did you read them already to make up your mind how well they represent the interest of the people in this country and the partner countries?
Public documents of state interest are published all the time - usually historically, since while they're still negotiating, giving away such information is detrimental.

This one is cute: http://trade.ec.europa.eu/doclib/docs/2014/july/tradoc_152670.pdf
Now shut up politics and give me access to all of Netflix while dealing with shady US backdoors and data&privacy issues that keep us from storing data anywhere in the US, kktxbye. :p

I understand that when he won the election; someone informed him, that he now had to make 4000 appointments and when he suggested that the job could be delegated; he was told, no that is your job.

I have been told, that having kid, WILL give you grey hair. Now look at the perspective, of the whole country is YOUR responsibility.

Google says that story is over 6 months old. And played out.

But hey, what does the Briefing do to a person?

Maybe it involves free Pizza.

Hehh. :D Anyone who takes this kind of responsibility, and be happy about it, have no idea what this kind of power really means and out of his mind. For my part? THX but no THX! Too much struggling with morons. what's not for me. I can't stand them and have no intentions to get used to em.

Edit; Out of (half)joke? Another day in the office, another jar of sedatives... :D So much about this.
The thing is, sometimes the only way to keep in line the bunch of morons below you, if you kick some butt. Especially if we talking about a newly formed clan, or n00b players, whom just not came together not getting used to each others and the group. Anyone who thinks it can works otherwise is delusional! You either maintain discipline in one way or another? Or hell breaks loose. because this is what's happens if you let the quality, or quantity of idiocy climb too high.
