To regulate PVP get rid of it?

I literally just want my money back from the game.

I literally played a solid week, just to get scrape some money together for a hauler. I literally just got it 5 minutes ago, after countless boring runs trying to get whatever piddly low paying mission I can get.

I just got it barely, had 1k left over, but honestly it takes like 40 minutes to even find a mission that pays anything. So out of desperation I figure I just want to see something else other than the sidewinder. I buy it, I have 1k left over, I figure I'll be careful and do some runs.

There is a mission at the terminal for a modest pay...just got to fly to Dahan. I am flying out first time in the new ship. Carefully navigate out the door, escape mass lock and am locing my destination. I notice ONE FREAKING PLAYER near the city.

And her opens fire one salvo. I am dead. Shio gone lost, a weeks worth of credits gone. This community is sick in the head. ANd you just allow it to happen. Beta or not, realize who you are dealing with. I gave this game many chances, I am done

Beta or not this is plain wrong. Is there customer service to restore the ship? Nope, is there any regulation on PVP? nope. You've done nothing but create an awful griefing game. I literally want to find the person who did this in real life....is this fun yet? Are we having fun?


Honestly just give my money back. I tried again, and I was killed for no reason near Aulin(the city). Just so someone could ruin my playtime. You realize there are moderators on forums for reasons? (I have no doubt this thread will be locked down)....It would be nice if you cared half as much about the online community in game.

Mind you, having gone from a Sidewinder to an Anaconda with 2 mill in the bank in just under a week - and in the online game too, I have difficulty understanding why you cannot make cash

Doesn't matter I just want a refund. I have done all I can. I just want out. This should not be happening. I literally see ONE player and he decides to destroy a weeks worth of work. Whats he get like a 2k bounty? He getsa blown up buys his ship back no problem?

Yeah that is a real deterrent.

sorry to hear about your experiences. in my opinion it will take you to play solo to build up your cash a bit, or get a bit more wise on how to earn money quickly.

don't trade in a sidewinder. goto to the space around freeport. supercruise around at min speed. whenever a unidentified signal source appears, drop in and see if it is gold. if it is scoop up (but watch for ai pirates dropping in) and head back to freeport and sell it on the black market. boom 16k credits in ten mins or so, rinse and repeat. buy a hauler, rinse and repeat but now it is 16 x 4k credits ( if you find multiple gold signal sources). if an uss is not gold the full pips to engines, flighht assist off and boost until you can supercruise away.

there is already a method to ensure that you dont have to suffer PvP if you dont want too, its called SOLO MODE, and you are the only human player in that particular universe.

sorry you had a bad time of it but remember this is a BETA and not all the policing/security mechanics to control PvP are in place yet.

if you need a quick start to get back on your feet i'll gladly PM you my cmdr name and we can set a private group, i'll be about for the next few hours so all we need to do is meet up at an anarchy system and i'll fill whatever ship you are in with gold to sell on the black market - you'll be in a cobra in 15 minutes or less!

the cash matters little to me at this point as i'm already in an anaconda and have around 3 mill in my account so just holler if you need a hand.

I did not buy a solo game, I certainly not buy a free for all gankfest. Don't worry soon as they refund me you won't hear from me again. Though it might be quiet in general to be honest. I don't know and don't care at this point.

Can you transfer credits? I just want my hauler back, and a way to play in it...like fly and do things. Not have it literlally destroyed inside 3 minutes. I forced myself to login everyday and fly for an hour or hour and half to try and get one lousy mission for maybe 900 credits to deliver something. I did this just forcing myself to fight through the boredom....I finally get something a bit exciting ( i know I jumped the gun bought without enough to cover an exoplosion) but man I'd have to wait till tomorrow or thursday otherwise. I figure play it safe I am right next to a freaking city...just fly to Dahan from Aulin get the money....

ONE PLAYER in the whole zone, opens fire for no reason..one shots my ship.

can i just point out that you didnt buy a finished game, you are playing a BETA.

also if you had a bounty why didn't you pay it off instead of buying the hauler? the bounty hunter wouldn't of even fired at you then.

Watch a few You Tubes on 'Making Credits in Elite Dangerous'. That's what I did. Hard graft killing Feds in Eranin for a few days first. Made 8 billion hauling stuff over 4 nights when I moved up to cargo ships though. Relax matey. Do a little out of game research into the Elite Universe. It's great when you know how!

Looking at your posting history you vent about being bored, vent about the game worthless, and now you are venting about the people playing. Being frustrated is normal, but ranting in this manner is simply unproductive. Perhaps taking a break from the game would help.

Don't matter its still going to be considered a game by my bank.

HOW? I found some pretty tasty trades (120k a trip in lakon 6) and its taken me 2 weeks to get a lakon 6 and 1.5 mil in the bank (at which point I bought a viper and went shooting stuff)


OP: Perhaps trading as well as missions would have helped with your getting of a hauler, it took me about 3 days doing runs from Eranin to Asellus primus and I Bootis (tea coffee fish etc) to get a hauler, but I didn't buy the hauler until I could afford a hauler plus insurance money (10% the cost of the hauler so ~2500 to be safe) + enough money for some trading so I think I had about 30k when I actually bought the hauler, then things get faster quicker, I made my second 30k in about 2 hours from getting the hauler, purely from trading.

maybe try a trading tool like:

I am thanks hopefully they respond.

Good luck with the game but I just want out, never been so frustrated and angry in all my life. Not a relaxing good time. I just cannot understand why they allow this? Everytime you give players the freedom to do this they do the same thing over and over, because there are no real life consequences.

Its like a failed social experiment over and over and over.
